Hi, The VHS standard works in india. the signal that TVs usually accept are PAL. though there are many VCRs that have NTSC playback on PAL TV (depends on what VCR you have). YOu also should be aware that 220 Volts is required (not the US standard). If yo r tarvelling form Europe/Asia it shoudl be OK to play back your Videos in India. If you are from US then it might be little concern, but then again you can get TVs that play back NTSC format too (you just need to be a sure that you pick the right TV). Regards Nitin
