Belgium: Also moving to Belgium (Antwerp):

This is quite an interesting endeavor. The paperwork is quite overwhelming, and I thought I was pretty on top of things. But the wheels turn slowly. I'd like more info on where in Antwerp NOT to live. At this point I think I'll be living in Ekeren, but would like more info on the city and the safest, easier parts to live in (just in case that doesn't work out). I'm so glad I already have a job. You would think that would be the hardest part. But that went more smoothly then all the rest has.

Hi -- I too am an Oregonian (Portland). I'll be moving to Antwerp in August to work at an International School. I'm new at this travel thing (except have done lots within the states). I'm 53 and hoping to make some connections before I get there. Maybe you'll be my first one.
