Kuwait: Cost of Living in Safat:

I have been offered employment in Safat, Kuwait and am at the moment wondering whether I should take it up. I have a couple of questions; I am planning on taking my wife with me if I do decide to take the job. Would you have an idea of what the cost of living (accomodation, food, utilities, transportation etc) would be for a month in the city of Safat? I am a double accountant with 4 years experience and I'm from South Asia. I have been offered something in the region of KWD1000/month. Do you think this is reasonable for 2 people to live on for a month or could I push for a higher salary? If so, what would be a suitable amount to ask for?
