Advice for New Expats |
Be patient! I arrived in early December when the first 'real snow was fallling and although, Scottish, nothing could have prepared me for the amount of snow and the inability to get out walking!! Nigh on impossible when it's thigh deep!!! The Norwegian people are aloof, wary, but generally as friendly to you as you are to them. I have found shopping very expensive and the tax/health system to be very complex. Generally very expensive but beautiful country. They don't go in for pleasantries but it's just the language nothing personal. I feel you can't pigeon hole any nationality, people are who they are and making friends requires efforts on both sides!

Norway: moving to Norway:
Hi there
Looking for all sorts of advice as husband starting new job in Drammen. Currently looking for somewhere to live quite near the International School. Tax issues are another worry.
How have people managed relocating pets to rental properties?
