Ecuador: Relocating to Ecuador:

We're looking to relocate in Ecuador and wanted to find out if there are any affordable houses that are beachfront? We live in Florida and have always have waterfront properties. Our budget is very tight so we don't know if we should build or buy. We're coming with our 2 daughters (9 and 5 yrs old) and our french bulldog. We're hoping to move some time in July. If we cannot get a waterfront property then maybe we can live in a city. We'd prefer a home to a condo because we'd like a yard for the kids and dog. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ecuador: Elementary schools in Ecuador:

We're looking to relocate some where in South or Central America and a few people have suggested Ecuador to me. We were planning to go for 2 weeks in July to look at real estate and to get more information but just found out that the schools that speak english are private schools. The cost for my 2 daughters that are in elementary school would be $20,000 a year! The whole purpose of us relocating was to get away from the outrageous prices we pay here in Miami, Florida. Now we're thinking maybe Ecuador is not the place for us. Are there any american families that live in Ecuador whose children attend english speaking schools that don't cost so much? Our daughters understand spanish (we live in Florida, who doesn't) but they cannot speak, write and read it. Please advise.
