Malaysia: Job opportunity in malaysia - should i or shouldn't i ?:

Hi, my husband and I have been in Malaysia (KL) for a year. We may be in slightly different circumstances to you as we have children and didn't move directly from the UK but we also know single men that have come out here. Really, with the benefits that are being offered do you need to ask "should I do it??" Of course you should, you have a great opportunity to travel, work in a different environment, have the whole of Asia on your doorstep to discover. My husband enjoys working here and yes things don't always work the way they would in the UK but that's the beauty of living overseas - discovering the big wide world and the way different cultures deal with things. Medical is good, housing is expensive but not a consideration for you it seems, it's easy to get around and English is widely spoken (by pretty much everyone) if that troubles you and the climate is great. Go for it, having been out of the UK now for some considerable time we'd actually never consider going back!

I am a British Expat moving to KL and wondered if it's possible for me to get a mortgage (in country)?

Malaysia: Moving To KL:

Hi, I'm a British Mum moving to KL with my husband and two young children (5 & 3) and I would appreciate any help that can be offered with regards to the best schools, housing (areas, if apartments are necessary or if security is OK for a house), maids, re-location services (if they are any good and worth using or not), international clubs etc etc - as much info as possible would be appreciated! Many thanks

Mexico: Villahermosa:

Hi, I'm a British ex-pat wife moving to Villahermosa in August with my husband and two young children. Can anyone give me advice on where is a good place to live, how I can research housing, pre-schools (preferably private Mexican schools), maids etc before arriving? Also are there any groups I can join to meet other people in my position? Thanks, any help would be appreciated.
