Brazil: Early Days:

Early dayz...... Hello! OK... so now I´ve lived here in Rio going on twenty years. Funny... but back in 1971 I received my electrician´s training in New York. Went back to university and received my MIBA years later. Pay here as an electrician.... GOOD LUCK! Everybody and their mother is an electrician here. Getting a job for a large construction company will net you R$150 per day with LUCK!!!!! That´s about US$70.00....below the poverty level for you and me buddy! Stone masons don´t fair badly but you better be real good at it! You can make more money flying back and forth to the states.... once a month selling the goods here. About $8.000 a month if you´re lucky and your air fare plus expenses will be covered. No drugs and no firearms!!!!!!!! Good luck!

Brazil: VIPER VISA AND BRAZILIAN TAXES:

In short__ you need the advice of professionals__ not opinions. Try this for starters: http://americansabroad.org/issues/taxation/us-taxes-while-living-abroad-faq Even this site we are now on has ads for expat tax services. If you are Brazilian then seek out a Brazilian tax attorney. better to pay a little now then to get slammed with fines later. Krgds, Spencer Niterói - RJ

Brazil: marriage service:

Hey Buddy, Here´s what I did back in 1995. Met a Brazilian lady in Florida... dated for a while, married her in Florida then took the marriagle certificate and other docs. to the Brazilian consulate in Miami where they recognized/confirmed the marriage. When we got to Rio an attorney friend took the Florida docs. to a Civil court judge and had the marriage recognized. Same day that I picked up the paperwork from the court is the same day I applied for my permanent residency at the policia federal, CPF (SS#) at receita federal etc., etc... In fact, I believe that today marriges in some countries such as the USA are now recognized under Brazilian law. Back in 1995 foreign marriage was not. It´s not that hard of a process... just takes time and an honest lawyer. Where in Brazil do you hope to live?? Krgds, Spencer

Brazil: Brazilians please help!:

Hello, Strong medicinal qualities! Personally, I use Guaco and Urucum on a daily basis to help combat the effects of pulmonary emphysema. It works! I would be more than happy to pose your question to my Brazilian friends on Facebook and in turn ask them to help gather data for you. How do you intend to use this data? Krgds, Spencer
