Kuwait: Windsurf & Kitesurfing:
I am looking for anyone who is involved with either of these activities. I am former windsurfer and would like to get back into it while living here in Kuwait. I am also interested in trying kitesurfing; need the exercise. I am hang glider pilot (30 years) and fly paragliders (3 years) but not in Kuwait. I live and work in Rumaithiya. I am geographical bachelor and go to movies (Marina Mall) frequently to fight the boredom.
Kuwait: single woman moving to kuwait:
If you decide to come to Kuwait, leave your liberal and outspokeness in Texas. Respect the environment you are in and frankly use your instinct when dealing with both local and non-local males. Traditionally Muslim men marry virgins and a non-virgin is usually labled so indeed use caution in that department. The people of Kuwait seem friendly and probably expect the same as we do when it comes to visitors. Good Luck!
Kuwait: Pets to Kuwait:
There are some dogs in Kuwait - BUT in Islam the dog is considered a filthy animal and most Muslims will not go near them or find them replusive. The heat is another consideration; it is deadly to an animal in very short order and would be pretty difficult to even consider leaving a pet in a car for even the shortest of times. I have seen a couple small, really small dogs at one beach and the owners were probably Labanonese Christians. Wild dogs do live in the desert too.. hope this helps.
