Kenya: where to live / where to go out?:

I am new to Nairobi and looking for shared housing and new places to go out...and meet people. I have already posted notices around town (Yaya and Serit). I would like to share housing to meet people but keep costs down. Don't really want to spend more than $400 USD if possible. Any ideas? Ideally it would be in Westlands / Kilimani / Hurlingham. Kenya: Share housing, Nairobi, from Sept '08:

I just landed in Nairobi and also looking for shared housing. I am staying with a friend in South C so I am not in a real rush to find housing. Like most others, I would like share housing (to meet people and keep the price down) in Hurlingham, Westland, etc. I would like to keep it under $500. Any suggestions appreciated...I have posted notices at Yaya, Serit and Village Market, but have not had any luck yet.
