Australia: Estimated costs of living in Sydney:

Can anybody give me an idea of the costs of living in Sydney or outside the city? I have in mind moving to that city next year. As far as I know, renting a house costs about 400 aud per week, but I would like to know how much money do a family with 3 children need (transport, school, food, clothes, services, etc)? Thanks!
