Israel: can I bring something?:

When I make the move to Israel what little items should I stock the suitcase with? I am told that Maple Syrup, dryer sheets, hershey's cocoa mix and California Wines would be welcome sights to most expats....what else? I revel in bringing the perfect thing to a party.

Israel: Ex pat in Tel Aviv:

I am moving to Ashqelon on October 6th from Seattle (I am orig from NY). I will be at an absorption center ulpan and my Hebrew is terrible...it would be nice to be in touch with somebody who understands my frustration.
