Germany: London based German language school:
Has anyone heard of this German langauge school in London?
It's called the Paul Noble Language Institute (website: www.paulnoblelanguages.com). I read a really positive review about its German courses in the London Evening Standard but was looking for a second opinion before I book a course. It seems really quite cheap. Has anyone else studied German there?
Germany: 10 Tips for Living in Germany:
Choose the right city for you!
Germany is a diverse country, so make sure you know what you want and where you can get it.
It is a fabulous place but I have met people who loved the idea of Bavarian hills and went to Frankfurt or who wanted excitement and went to Nuremberg.
So, my tip is think about what you want and where you can get it!
Germany: Living and working in the Duesseldorf area:
Oh, I know Kempen, it's outside Krefeld.
20 or 30 miles isn't really a problem for me per se, except that I tend to work south of Dusseldorf and Kempen is north, so it probably isn't for me.
Good luck selling it though and if any of my colleagues are looking for something similar, I'll pass this on.
Germany: Taxes for Self Employeed:
I may know someone who knows someone in Dusseldorf. Is that close enough?
If so, let me know and I'll get my mate to post on here.

Germany: employment in germany:
Very difficult to get a position in Germany if you're an American.
Otherwise I would suggest working for one of the big language schools that focus on business English. They love people with business experience. Maybe you could take a student visa and then use it to take a job and look for a better one.
It's certainly been done before...

Germany: Expats in Cologne / Düsseldorf areas, unite!:
Are you still doing this?
I have only just joined the forum but would be interesed, as might a couple of mates of mine based in Dusseldorf.
I'm out of the country at the moment, on study leave. But will be back towards Christmas time.
Will there be a Christmas meet up?
