Ecuador: Main Rd. Lot for sale in Tonsupa, Esmeraldas:
I am not a Real Estate agent. I am the owner of a beautiful Main road front lot in Tonsupa, Esmeraldas. Every car that goes to Tonsupa and beaches south passes right in front of the lot. The lot is perfect for a commercial bus., hotel, lots for sale, restaurant, hostel or a private residence. The lot is 20 meters in the front and back and 66 meters long/sides. It is in the "Cooperativa Atacames" lot area as a point of reference. You can see Playa Almendro from the lot, but don't have to deal with noisy neighbors and have privacy and easy access to Quito. I am living here in Houston and am selling because my daughter is attending the University of Texas in Austin. My dream was to return and build on the lot because "in Season" it is very busy and "out of season" it is very quiet. I am the owner and you would deal directly with me . My Mother who lives in Quito has the Power of attorney giving her permission to sell the lot in my name. It was valued at $42,000USD, but I would accept $32,000. Ecuador: Land for sale in Tonsupa and Cayambe:
Good afternoon,
I have 2 lots of land for sale in Ecuador. The first is in Cayambe which is about 40 min from Quito. It is about 2-3 acres in size and would be perfect for a country home, a subdivision , a hotel, or just farmland to cultivate and subsist on your own home grown veggies. The second is in Tonsupa, Esmeraldas this lot is right on the main road leading to all the important beaches in Esmeraldas: Tonsupa, Same, Atacames ,Sua etc. This lot is perfect because every car that passes to the above mentioned beaches goes right by it. It is prime commercial real estate or for a series of small stores, cabins etc. If anyone is interested they can E-mail me at : marcov2ec@hotmail.com

Ecuador: 10 Tips for Living in Ecuador:
My 10 tips for Living in Ecuador
1) Don't be a Dreamer. Keep both feet planted and your eyes wide open (not: "Eyes Wide Shut)
2) Don't spend like crazy. Save your money. Don't invest in land if it's too good to be true.....
3) Choose a nice area to live in. Talk to the people in the neighborhood, smile, wink and nod. But never say I have this and that.
4) Be kind and Humble
5) Keep to yourself in the beginning. Remember you will always be observed due to the simple fact that you are a foreighner.
6) Maintain your money in a U.S. bank. Open an acct in an Ecuadorean bank but just enough to have "escape" cash for you and your family. You have heard of keeping your cash under your mattress this is not a bad idea in Latin America. Things can change quick and not always for the best.
7) Never burn your bridges in the U.S.. If possible leave your home rented for a few years or sell it and downsize your potential residence here in the U.S. Sell your big house and buy a 1 bedroom condo or a small house and maintain it for a few years.
8) Legal papers. Make sure everything is in order. Get your residency , Ecuadorean Drivers License anything where you may need a Lawyer use one. Get everything notarized and have your lawyer verify everything. If you are going to buy a car, land, house etc. check it out first.
9) Schools. Choose the correct school. I taught English at various schools and the inmates run the assylum. These schools are privately owned and the "students" pay $400 a month in tuition so the owner being a good businessman will protect his investment.
10) Have fun. See the country little by little. Always travel in the daytime and use common sense.
Ecuador is a wonderful country and if you need my advice I am at your service. I lived in Ecuador for 10 tears but, now I am in Houston, Tx because my daughter will be going to the Univ. next year. I most definitely plan on retiring to Ecuador.

Hello My Friends,
I am an ex Expatriate who lived in Tumbaco, Ecuador for 5 years. I have a wonderful property in Tumbaco that I am looking to sell or rent. It is a 2000 meter property with a 2 story house and a big long house in the back with a garage, basketball court, small soccer field and green areas. I built it for myself and my family and planned on living there forever...well you know the rest kids grew up...Univ in Texas etc. I am asking $180,000 which is what I have invested in it. This property can be used for a school. I operated an English Language center for 5 years there and lived in the back house. I had over 60 students a month there. I have all the programs, books , desks etc to continue this or do what you want. I would sell the house with all its furniture. The front house has 8 bedrooms with 8 beds that we were going to open a hostel/hotel. If any one is interested it would be a wonderful property for a retiree or an Entrepenuer.
