Kuwait: where is everybody:

Skating Rink?

Kuwait: Just wondering...:

... why would a bunch of British ladies in an upscale restaurant, behave as if they are in a village pub or a fish market? Aren't we ambassadors of our countries when we happen to be abroad? This not the first time I came across this type of (loud) behavior. Did not notice anything similar neither in States nor in Britain.

Kuwait: KWI Long Term Parking ??:

Yes, there is. If you are going for 3-4 days it will be very convenient.

Kuwait: Kuwait driving license:

It will be easier if (a) you have kids or (b) you work. First you apply for learners licence with your id copies, photos, kids IDs or paper from employer.

Kuwait: Book store:

The one dgunder540 is talking about is Kuwait Book Shop in Muthana complex. It was the only one for long. They have a branch in Ahmadi too. And of course Virgin in Marina mall and Jareer.

Kuwait: Skype:

Thanx a lot for your response. The only thing now is, when I click on 'I remember the email address I used when I created my Skype account' it keeps bringing me to the same page. I tried 'Forgot your password' on login page - same here. The page just reloads :(

Kuwait: 3 bedroom apt:

I would say its not so scary here. I am here since 88. My kids grew up here and call it home. Two of them settled here and the one in US comes running here on first opportunity. You can rent 3 bedroom flat for KD350 easily. ...and there are many ways to save, don't go by info on net.

Kuwait: Scrapbooking shop in Kuwait?:

http://www.jarirbookstore.com/html/showrooms-kuwait.asp I love Jarir book store and never get enough time there, but for scrapebook stuff try stationary departments of souqs, more variety and for a fraction of price. What area are you in?

Kuwait: Computers / Garment Sizes:

I live in Kuwait since 88, but all in my family prefer to buy our laptops in US: you get much better deals. None of us ever had any problems. I even got wide bed printer this time. The cords work just fine. Just check the specifications before buying. Get your anti virus too.

Kuwait: Dishwasher and installation required:

Apart from walking ones, the used ones serve the purpose as well. KD40 approx. For installation call a plumber from the local shop.
