Costa Rica: CR vs Uruguay:
Hi, I'm a retired Marine and my wife a Registered Nurse still working and we are in our later 40's. We are looking at relocating to CR or Uruguay. I'll put some bullets of what we are looking for with my anual retirement of $48,000 and more if possible for my wife to work as an RN in a Coastal area.
We would really appreciate your candid input.
- a nice modern pool home close to ocean
- safety, low theft & burglaries
- close to shopping, some nightlife and other expats.
- medical facilities close proximity
And PLEASE if someone could explain why so may Uruguay Expats and many who claimed to have lived in CR have nothing but negative comments about CR such as a high crime rate, Ticos always boosting prices on everything for expats and etc. Thanks - Chuck & Julie
Uruguay: Uruguay -vs- Argentina:
My wife and I are retiring in 2010 and have narrowed our retirement home between Uruguay and Argentina. We will visit for our first time in 2009 but would appreciate any advice,
input, or opinions on comparisons between the two countries in the way of cost of living, crime, communities, quality of life and etc.
Argentina: Mar del Plata:
I'm considering moving to Argentina or Uruguay in 2010. I'm interested in an early retirement and would like to live within close proximity to the beach but more inland away from the crowds. Would Mar del Plata be a good location vice B.A.?
