Uganda: Moving 2 Kampala, HELLLLP!!!!!:
Hi there,
Not sure I can help, but thought I would just say hello.
There are cheaper schools. What area do you need to live in - i.e. do you have a job that you are coming to? Traffic is horrendous, so its a good idea to plan around that too.
There are apartments and self-contained cottages/rooms attached to houses too - may be a bit tricky with the children though. I have seen a 2 bedroomed house for 750/month, so am sure you can find what you are looking for.
I don't know about the Agha Khan school - sorry.
Have you thought of home-schooling? I don't do that but many moms out the Makindye area do and get together for social/sports/play.
Hmmm. Not sure what else to tell you - there is a lot, but first you need to decide regarding school/accommodation/job - where are you coming from? Are you bringing furniture/container or just clothes - if the latter, its not a problem, a lot of expats selling 2nd hand when they leave and affordable furniture off the markets too.

Uganda: Summer Activities for Children in Uganda:
Hi
Not sure of other schools, but ISU (International school of Uganda in Lubowa) is having a summer camp.
It runs from 20-24 June and 27 June - 1 July.
You can choose specific days or weekly.
There are bus pickup points in Kampala (note that buses have seatbelts for the children and a monitor on board to assist children.
To find out more, contact Nicky Farmer on nfarmer@isumail.ac.ug
Hope this helps...

Uganda: Looking for a house in Lubowa:
Hi,
We are moving to Uganda in July.
We are looking to rent a home in Lubowa - preferrably a 3 bedroomed home with a garden.
I have contacted a few agents but would be grateful for advice.

Kenya: Which school and housing question:
Hi,
We are considering relocating to Nairobi - due to my husband's employment.
I would like to choose a good British Curriculum school - any thoughts as to Brookhouse vs Braeburn for Junior school?
Also, is it better to choose a standalone house (safetywise) vs compound living?
We have lived in a few African countries and have enjoyed standalone homes more - just seems to be quite a few rentals for the compound.
Thanks to anyone who can help
Terri
