Saudi Arabia: Job and moving to Jeddah:
" is it possible to move there first and ask for resident visa and then to find a job."
this part tells you had have a good experience in ksa. actually it would work if you aren't Slovakian. it works with other nationalities, but restrictions on some nationalities first, and being female secondly. i saw a lot of cabin crews who came from Slovakia. but i am not sure of other vacancies. the Office of Work doesn't issue visas for Slovakian.
what about working for me? i need a secretary ;)
Saudi Arabia: Trouble deciding to move or not!:
people you listen to are from different mentalities, different backgrounds, different minds. what suits me may not suit me, and vise versa.
take the main lines from the people and evaluate the situation by yourself, this is better.
good luck.
Saudi Arabia: Moving to Riyadh with my darling daughter:
most of the compounds have nurseries, i didnt visit all, but i am sure most of them have.
why are u so depressed?!
Saudi Arabia: VEGAN family:
u guys ask amazing questions!
people in Saudi Arabia eat meat and nothing else. no vegetables here. only meat, meat salad, meat sandwiches, meat juice.
Saudi Arabia: Moving practialities:
yep. maybe they can be easier with you when they know that you are not calling them "zealot"
everybody has a religion and traditions, u expect others to respect yours, then respect others. this is a simple rules ;)
Saudi Arabia: Do Saudis Pay Life Insurance???:
i am sorry for the news, actually it should be stated in his contract. review it again and write down to me whatever related to his insurance.
I am working in saudi arabia, to be honest, i've never seen a contract which states a life insurance against natural reasons
tell me what's written in it, maybe i can help.
Saudi Arabia: Holiday Events in Saudi Arabia:
in Saudi Arabia, celebrating events other than the two Islamic Official Holidays "Eid Fetr and Eid Ad'ha" is prohibited in public. the National Day is an exception since 2005. Any kind of showing such celebrations in public is prohibited, e.g. in stores, trees, lights... etc.
i'll make a big cake on 31Dec night at my house, you are all welcome* :)
*dont come without a gift!
Saudi Arabia: Expat photographer teacher?:
a friend of a friend of a friend..etc?!?!?!?!
i can say she likes you, but couldn't find a better way to say it.
ok. i am joking :D
Saudi Arabia: 10 Tips for Living in Saudi Arabia:
ok. i'll share one of my favorite subjects... food
one of the best experiences to try in Saudia is to eat their food and by their way...
you can count 30 different names of different Saudi meals. but never feel lost with Saudi food, bcoz any meal consists of only two things... rice and meat... yep, rice and meat "wither chicken/beef".
eating in saudi way, means to eat by your hand, no spoons nor forks. only your right hand.
imagine your hand as an excavator, and you fingers are the fork. fingers should be flat, coming from down the rice plate then slowly bend your fingers to keep the amount of rice inside your hand... be careful to put a reasonable amount of rice in your hand, you don't want saudi people to laugh while watching you ;)
now rise the hand up to your mouth and do your best to put the rice inside your mouth, use the fat finger to shift the rice to your mouth.
now you need to manage it in a clever way so you don't look funny or like you've never seen food. feel confident and do some practice before you come to saudi arabia. practice then practice then practice ;)
i'll do some practical lessons in my house this weekend, you are all invited :D
Saudi Arabia: Moving to Riyadh:
museum?... i've been in Riyadh since a while, people may care about my childhood more than museums. cancel this possibility
International schools is a good option, two of my relative here work as teachers even they hold Engineering degree, but u need to adapt with the situation here,
embassies, i am not sure, normally embassy's employees belong to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I am not sure if they have temporary vacancies... sometimes maybe.
you can develop ur hoppies into real careers. dancing, art works, boxing :), or even swimming to train people who have the same interests.
of course u have more options, but it all depends on ur qualifications, experience, interest, and talent.
good luck.
