Australia: Moving to Australia Perth or Goldcoast:

Due to the current state of the UK, my family and i are looking to move out to Australia we are at a bit of a stalemate with regards to location, my Wife has a Brother living in Perth and we have friends currently living in Coomera, on the Goldcoast. What are the pro's and con's of both locations i.e Weather, Schooling, Living Costs, Housing Costs Etc.. any help would be much appreciated.
