Australia: Work visas for 0ver 50's:

Hi can anyone tell us how it is possible for over 50's to obtain a work visa?Everywhere we look, we are classed as too old!! Does anyone have any ideas around this, (without having won the lottery), or being born with the preverbial silver spoon syndrome! All helpful suggestions welcome as we are off to Melbourne in February for a month, thanks Jess
