Italy: Inexpensive housing in Italy for a single woman?:

I'm a single young woman and am looking to move to Italy within the next 5 years. I don't have a whole lot of money at the moment, however I am saving up as much as I can. I would like to know if there is any information regarding inexpensive housing (an apartment, preferably) in either northern or southern Italy that is in a safe, yet people filled area for a young woman like myself. Grazie!

As someone who's seriously considering moving to Italy, are there any current areas within Italy that are considered to be the "best" in terms of affordable housing, popularity, accessibility to travel etc.

Italy: obtaining an Italian Visa:

Hello, I currently live in the States, Maryland to be exact, and I am interested in moving to Italy in 5-10 years. I am interested in obtaining an Italian Visa. I have contacted my local consulate, but have yet to get an answer. What is the process that is required to obtain a Visa? Thanks.

Italy: planning to move but am feeling overwhelmed!:

I'd like to move to Italy within 5 years or so, maybe 10..but I'm feeling overwhelmed as to where to start! Can anyone give me any helpful advice please? Hello, I'm 24 and I recently went on holiday to Italy (Tuscany, Cortona, Rome, Assisi, Orvieto, Umbria, Perugia) and as a result I've completely fallen in love with Italy. I'm single, I don't know if that makes any difference... I wanted to know, what are somethings that I should know when I start to plan my move? I currently live in Maryland and would LOVE to hear back from an Americans who are from Maryland who now live in Italy. Thanks ya'll for your help!
