Fiji: trips in the pacific:

are there clubs or groups that offer trips to explore the area for expats?

Fiji: Any suggestions please!!:

I am a tenured professor with doctorates in a needed area that came to help. I am retiring at the end of this job. Nothing could keep me here after that. Students are great but---

Fiji: Moving in August:

Please be careful in Fiji. I have lived here one year and find it to be awful in many ways. Landlords want to control your life, refuse to maintain properties and will not abide by contracts. They will take your money at all cost, especially Indo-Fijans. Careful not to rent from an Indian name Kant, or Bal krishner. Do not use Hill Realtor they are very unethical. In the workplace Indians that are of junior or lower level will take over and become very pushy. They will destroy anything you do for the satisfaction of doing so. I have observed and documented various actions. Originally, I though the natives were just strange or possibly lazy but as I have studied I see they have given up because of the way Indo-Fijians treat them.

Fiji: Fiji: Brutally Boring:

Suva is a horrible place to live and work expect if you are alone. Landlords, especially Indo-Fijians, tell you who can visit (no Fijians), They refuse to maintain property, want rent early, If they see you talking to other people they ask who is the person? What is your relationship and then began to insert/assert themselves. The fees they charge if you are an expat are beyond reasonable.

Fiji: Health Care in Fiji:

I had food poision from a restaurant this week. I was able to walk in the doctor's office without an appointment and see him in 30 minutes for a $30 fee. his office is next to a pharmacy or chemist as they call it. He was knowledgable, kind and professional. I am feeling better.

Kuwait: Searching Hi & Lo- Where did the jobs go?:

You must be married. Kuwait has very strict rules. If you are caught having intimate relations you will be jailed. Marry before moving.

Oman: have offer to join in a job in salalah or sohar, choice is left to me!! very very n very confused!!:

what is the job? hours? pay?

Qatar: reasonable salary?:

Since you live in Bahrain maybe you can help me. I have been offered a teaching job $2000 per month at Royal University. Do you know any teachers there? Can you find out what is a part of the package? WHAT IS RENT LIKE? SOCIAL LIFE? SPIRITUAL LIFE?

IS THE JOB A COLLEGE?

Global Expat Forum: Black Woman moving to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia:

I wish I were in your place. I have spent time in Kuwait, Dubai and Cairo. The people are so nice! The only problem I had was with White Americans. I found that if a male states something about you true or not it is permanent. I was sent home from Kuwait because two bias White American men lied on me. The people in the Middle East respect you and are very kind. I wish I could live there. Respect their time for prayer and family. If you do this they respect you. Keep in touch with me as you travel this journey. Gloria
