Netherlands: Visiting Amsterdam:

I'm planning to visit Amsterdam for December 23rd - January 8th. Can anyone please tell me what will the weather probably be like, how difficult it is to get around the city to see different things, what special holiday sights there are? Will the walking tours be worth it or will the weather probably be too bad to be out in it? Also, I've tried to find reasonable accommodations of around 20-30 euros a night with cooking facilities. Does anyone have any ideas of what I should do? Thanks so much!

Germany: English Teacher Moving to Germany:

Hello, I am an ESL English teacher with a BA, a TEFL-Diploma, and more than 6 years teaching abroad. I have done alot with accreditation, curriculum design, and teacher training. I REALLY want to move to Germany but as an American, it's difficult. I have looked at so many schools online and applied to them but so far nothing. I know that I can stay there legally for 90 days, but after that, if I don't find work, I will have to leave. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would prefer Colognes, Frankfurt am Main or any area in between. I have started learning German, because I know it's difficult to do anything there without it. I am open to all suggestions. Thanks so much!

Netherlands: I need some information:

I am an American expat lady... age 60...and I want to move to the Netherlands and begin my own self-employment. Yes, I know I can live there for 90 days with no problem...but at my age...I can't imagine any company hiring me to give me a reason for residency. I am an English teacher with more than 6 years of experience...and want to tutor privately. How can I do this without spending a fortune? I've looked at many sites online and they all say I must have residency...learn the language and integrate. I have no clue about Dutch... I speak English and Spanish...and just enough French to get by. Any helpful information is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Cambodia: Business Visa for Egyptians:

How do Egyptians get a business visa? I am a America and I had no problems; however 2 of my friends want to come here and they've been told it's early impossible to get a business visa without an employment invitation. They have Bachelors degrees; one is a chef, the other a accountant Thanks for your help!

Cambodia: is apathy a tropical disease?:

It's not really apathy as much as it is everyone just having their own lives at their own rate of speed. I don't typically go to other places just to connect with other expats, I just go to relax and discover a new culture. If I wanted to hang out with expats, I would just save the airfare and stay home. Most of the expats I know are too happy to be away from the stress of it all and the need to do what everyone else is doing.

Cambodia: AA Batteries:

Yes, most little shops have them. I get them at the little shop here they sell phone cards near the corner of Monireath and Mao Tse Tong.
