Saudi Arabia: FOR SALE - Chev Uplander 2006:

HI Have a friend who may be inteested, what's your Phone number?

Saudi Arabia: Vegemite:

This sounds like a desperate situation! I've seen them in Tamimi supermarkets. They are the small (150g) jars, so look carefully on the shelves, there is no rhyme nor reason to how they stock their shelves.

Saudi Arabia: Processing of Iqama:

How long is a piece iof string? In Jeddah it took me 5 days. In Riyadh a month plus. Go figure. I Know one person that waited for 4 months before they got theirs. Saudi beauracracy, expect the unexpected.

Saudi Arabia: Jeddah Knowledge School:

The school is a PYP candidate school, so it is presently going throught the process of getting accreditation. A colleague who was there for a pyp inspection earlier in the school year gave the place a very positive review. I also have an ex colleague who will begin there in the 2010 -11 academic year. Overall I heard it is quite professional. As for living in Jeddah, it's less tense than Riyadh. Once you establish your network of friends you'll have a great time.

Saudi Arabia: Bahrain to Saudi Visa info:

In a nut shell, I believe you will have to do the whole mind-numbing process again. From the medicals to the signature runaround. I had just changed jobs and living locations here in the Kingdom and had to do the Saudi Visa shuffle. Much stress, misinformation and anguish awaits you. Just remember to breathe and to take it one day at a time. Good luck!

Saudi Arabia: Racquetball Racket, Riyadh:

There's a sports store, near the Kuwaiti souk, across from the toy store you see you see when you are driving on King Fahd heading north. They has strange racquets in there that I did not identify as squash racquets. Very pricey though even for Saudi.

Saudi Arabia: Australian embassy:

Contact Erik Huyer (ehuyer@hotmail.com) he's the main Warden for the Australian community.

Saudi Arabia: Martial Arts in the Riyadh Area:

There is Tae Kwon Do at Al Waha Villa Rosa compound off exit one on the ring road, near King Saud University. I do believe they have female students though the sensei (?) is male.

Saudi Arabia: sewing souk in Riyadh:

I think I passed it this morning I was on the compound bus and saw these shops with old sewing machines in it. Its on the way to the main old souk near the fort in/at Dira/Batha souk. I came down King Fahd road heading south then turned left towards the fort. Hope this is some help. Sorry but I'm new here and still learning how to navigate about the place. Good luck and don't buy a machine that has red mercury in it, they're very expensive.

India: Canadian International School, Bangalore:

Does any one out there know anything about the about CISB? Reputation, standards, are ther better schools? Thanks
