Honduras: Thatched hut living:

Phase 1 of La Ceiba Beach Club (mainland Honduras) has a very tropical 28' x 28' thatched roof tiki home w/ loft bedroom. The owner is not willing to rent at this point.

Honduras: Moving from Canada...:

Contact a Honduran attorney. You will need to use one anyways. No guess work that way.

Honduras: Utila:

Utila.... Have you been there before and like what it is ? Or reading online to come to this decision ? Island living is just that. If you want to do so that is what it is. I personally would live on a mainland that is close to a big city yet when on a property.... You feel like your on an island.

Honduras: Propane Gas Availability in La Ceiba???:

Yes bring your gas appliances as most locals use them. There are many refill stations around La Ceiba

Honduras: San Pedro Sula:

Hotel Villa Noria is out of town near the airport and not expensive. Should be $48-$65.00 per night depending on the part of the year. They have swimming pool, tiki bar, indoor restaurant, mini market ….. You could take a taxi to some places in the city. BTW…. this hotel has 2 bedrooms, per unit.

Honduras: Builder Question: Material Cost in LaCeiba???:

I would suggest using the readily available metal roofing. There are quite a few styles and colors. Everything else is available local in La Ceiba. Permits are required but not enforced. You could go in with a hand sketched plan and the would accept this. There are no inspections.

Honduras: Coming in February:

You can message me or email me @ xxchriscatxx@hotmail.com for expats living in Honduras that you can meet up with to discuss whatever you desire. Cheers Chris Barrett

Honduras: WHY?:

I bought property years ago in La Ceiba Honduras and have been developing properties on the beach over the years. Honduras has affordable beach properties and is also extremely affordable to live. Very similar to Belize yet more affordable.
