Kuwait: Unmarried without Children in Kuwait:

I'm a single American woman in my mid-20's, been here for 6 months. I have not met any single friends yet. Of course, I don't work with any Westerners so it's a bit harder for me to meet people than it is for most. I've joined a club and a gym, but the only people I know are married or older. I think most of the single expats here are teachers that tend to hang out together. Still, if you are outgoing you probably won't have a problem meeting people.

P.F. Changs? YES! If ya'll are planning a get together of some sorts, I'd be interested. That sounds a tad desperate but I've been over here 6 months (I'm a single gal from Texas) and am going to lose it if I don't meet some people. Shelly

Kuwait: Home Improvement Store:

I'm looking to fix my apartment up a little, and am wanting to know if there is a home improvement place (like Home Depot) around here. Also, is there a company that can intall soundproof windows?

Kuwait: AAA Housing:

I will be moving to Kuwait, and my company is insisting I stay in an apartment managed by AAA Housing. Has anybody had any experience with them? Are they nice places? Anything I need to be warned about?

Kuwait: single woman moving to kuwait:

I'm also a single woman that moved here from Texas and have been living here only a month. It's really not that bad. As far as being outspoken, just make sure you know who your talking to. I was scared out of my mind before coming here, thinking I'd get thrown in jail for sure for shooting my mouth off. But like I said, I'm barely a month in and adjusting nicely (except for one small breakdown due to the horrible decor of my apartment). Just beware of the driving. I'm from Houston, and driving in the hell that is rush hour down there in no way prepared me for the kind of stunts they pull down here. Good luck.
