United Kingdom: Choosing a removalist:
Choosing a removalist is a key to having a smooth move abroad. We used World Moving when we left Auckland. We are still waiting weeks for our gear to arrive - despite being told it would arrive on 4 April. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks. So ensure you are not told porkies by the removal company by getting a money back guarantee if your personal effects aren't delivered by the promised date.
New Zealand: Choosing a removal company:
Choosing a removal company is the key to having a smooth relocation. We used World Moving in Auckland when we moved to Perth (temporarily) earlier this year. We are still waiting for our personal effects, eg winter clothes, computer, cooking gear, to arrive. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks and would arrive on 4 April. Two months later, we are still waiting. We were given three arrival dates and the company had the cheek to object we told them we had been lied to!
My advice is to get a money back guarantee if the company fails to abide by its contract.
We will be moving again early next year and the guy running World Moving was silly enough to say we should use his company!
