Norway: Possible move to Skien:

Hello everyone! I have been offered a position as a joiner in Skien and wondered if you could offer any advice. I have three children, aged 11, 6 and 4 and wondered if you could give any information on the Norwegian education system (comparative with the English system) and what difficulties they may find in integration. I would also like to know how much difficulty my wife will have in finding a job without any prior knowledge of the language (she currently works in customer services). If anyone has any info that they could offer about the area of Skien/ Telemark, I would really appreciate it. Any other advice would also be great. Many Thanks.

The Chamonix valley is also fantastic. Obviously Chamonix is a major resort but away from the resorts you have lovely villages and towns with the most fantastic views imaginable ( mountains nearly 5000m high etc.) and no tourists, where real people live, from mountain peasants to CEOs who commute to Geneva.
