Pakistan: Anyone move to Pakistan successfully?:

Has anyone with Pakistani parents raised up in the west successfully moved and stayed in Pakistan? Please do tell.

Pakistan: Moved to Pakistan, came back, now want to move again.:

Somewhere on the internet it says, if your dreaming of moving to Pakistan, spend a summer there, and you'll come running back. In 2014, we did just that. The opposite has happened. We want to move to Pakistan for ever. This is the second time we've got the "Move to Pakistan" fever. First time in 2009, we moved to Pakistan. We stayed with my wife's parents. I'm rasied in the USA and as a child we used to go every couple of years. To this day, I can't get Pakistan out of my mind. After getting married, I quit my job and lived in Pakistan with my new wife for a year. Best time ever. Just like all Pakistanis, my parents always complain about Pakistan. Yet, they themselves used Pakistan for their education (father is doctor), moved to the US and did well. Yet other than helping family, I can't say they've really ever given anything back to their homeland. They kind of hate Pakistan for whatever reasons. So, when we moved in 2009, my mother also "moved." Actually, she went after us and caused so much problems within the extended family and inlaws, we had to come back after a year. When back in the USA, we changed states just to get away from her. Since we're older and wiser, I think we will have a better plan this time. I will share for others to use once I've got it together.

Pakistan: Moving from UK to Pakistan - need help finding work:

Try learning software development. Its not as difficult as engineering. You can take a short course where you are, or If you have a place to stay in Pakistan with relatives, you could take a software training and certification in Pakistan.

Pakistan: Did you retire to #Pakistan# for medical reasons?:

I want to move to Pakistan from the USA for many reasons, and affordable health care is one of them. In the USA, if you are very rich, then you don't care about healthcare costs. If you are very poor or pretend to be poor, you get Medicaid, and you don't pay. But for the rest of us, healthcare is a joke. You pay, pay, pay, and still don't feel better. You never know what a doctor will charge you until after you've seen them. This is the only thing you have to purchase without knowing the price. Its ridiculous. And every single time, there are surprise charges on the bill that you never knew you would get. Doctors in the USA are dying for money, so in the process they are eager to cut you (surgery) any chance they get. They want to buy a bigger house, a new car, want to go on a vacation, or are bitter for the hardship during their residency, and need to let your blood for quick money. We had a misdiagnosis for a family member by at least 3 doctors. But our family member went to Pakistan, had a minor surgery, no organ removal, and feels fine now.

Pakistan: Looking for IT work in Lahore:

Hi, We are moving to Pakistan. I am an American citizen with over 15 years experience in software development and management. Can anyone give any guidance on where to look for jobs in Lahore? Thanks for your help.

Pakistan: Moving to Lahore soon. Need info please:

Because Pakistanis in the USA just came over. It takes a whole generation or 2 of living abroad to realize the value of Pakistan. Most Pakistanis think I'm crazy for moving back and give me all the financial reasons for staying in the USA. In about 30 years they will wish they had made their money and gone back as well. Thats how long it took my family.

Pakistan: Moving to Lahore - furniture available?:

We've found good second hand furniture relatively cheap at the local stores. Check in your area for furniture stores and dealers.

This really depends on how often, if at all, you visit Pakistan, and what your current lifestyle is like. What in particular are you concerned about?
