Mexico: Mexico North and South route:
Sounds great. You're going to love Copper Canyon.
United States: Moving to the US from the UK:
I strongly advise that your husband tries living in the USA prior to making plans to move there. It might all depend on your preferred destination. I lived in the USA for a year (in Texas) and absolutely hated it. Earlier I lived in San Francisco for three months and loved it, but that location is hardly affordable in these times.
Mexico: Ajijic:
We're looking at moving to Ajijic but need information as to where to live. (Areas, prices etc - we're looking to buy a three bedroom house with a decent garden.)
Mexico: Gas prices and taxis:
Here in Monterrey no problems.
Mexico: English speaking people in aguascalientes:
Aguascalientes I don't know, but I'm sure it's cheaper than Monterrey, and you could manage in Monterrey for $1,000 a month.
Mexico: Steps to take to move to Mexico:
It really depends on your fiancé. What is his job? If it's an industrial/technology job then I'd suggest you will be looking at the DF area or Monterrey because that's where the work is. Monterrey is a fast growing city with lots of work available, the climate is too hot in summer and a bit cold in winter but in general it's a great place to live.
Mexico: And so it begins...:
The climate is perfect, Do not bring lots of winter clothes you won't need them. Do not bring appliances that work on 240V only. You'll have a great time.
Mexico: Scotland mum and tot:
Hope you find some new friends quickly.
Mexico: Driving from east coast to Playa Del Carmen:
Monterrey is not violent, it is safe. Tamaulipas is unsafe. The central route is safe.
Mexico: Flu shot:
IMSS is offering the flu inoculation now. If you are in the system just walk in and present your IMSS card. Free to older people etc.
