Ivory Coast: Election year:
Does the state department have anything planned for US expats living in the Ivory Coast during this election year? I have to say that the 2010-2011 post electoral crisis traumatized me quite a bit.
Ivory Coast: Used car:
Is anyone selling their used car or do you know someone who is? I am currently in Abidjan and found a job in Plateau. Public transportation is not too reliable and "taxi compteurs" can be expensive. I am looking for a dependable used car to buy as soon as possible. No more than $4000. Please let me know if you can help.
Ivory Coast: Just arrived in Abidjan:
Hi, I can't be much of any help as I am not yet in Abidjan but I wanted to step in and said hi. I plan on relocating to the Ivory Coast in November/December and I am applying for jobs online right now. As a matter of fact, did your husband have to be in Abidjan to get a job? I am trying to see if I can even hope to be hired while being in the US... In any case, I know ivorians are very friendly and understand basic english. So you shouldn't have too much trouble communicating.
Ivory Coast: Preparing to move to Abidjan:
I am preparing to move to Abidjan as well. I am a US Citizen and currently my company is not represented in the Ivory Coast. Would like some ideas/advice on where to find a job, preferably before I move in November.
