Colombia: 24 year old male who wants to move to Colombia:

Hey everyone im looking to live in Colombia, either medellin or bogota, for a year or two. I am a native English speaker and am fluent in Spanish and would ideally find a position teaching english (but I am willing to do other things). I contacted centrocolombo, but they informed me that there is a low employent cap for americans that they have already reached. Should I contact more places or should I just go down there and look for something? Do I need to gain employment before moving? Let me know and it would be greatly appreciated.
