Portugal: A little lost with the move!:

Greetings, Moving to the Lisbon area in just twenty days from the US and would like to ask a few questions about shipping of anyone that might be in the know. I have read the major requirments published on the web. I am considering shipping one smallish 100cm x 100cm x 100cm crate of belongings. Is this a sesible way to go or would a few small boxes be better? Anyone have expreience using FEDEX or DHL? Can anyone recommend a reliable and inexpensive option? Turn around time is less important Thanks in advance for your time.
