China: requirements for opening an English Language school in Xi'An, China:
I would appreciate any and all information on the requirements of opening an English Language school in Xi'An to teach English language only.
Questions:
1. Is a school business license needed?
2. Teaching English as a second language credential/license needed?
I am a retired teacher from the U.S. and my wife is a Chinese national.
She has been out of the country for 10 years and does not know which government agency to contact for this information.
Thanks for any and all helpful information and/or suggestions.
Belgium: How expensive is it to live in Belgium?:

China: To all of those sending me insulting messages about my posting name, Rainbowrider is my posting name not my sexual orientation:
I have received very insulting comments regarding the choice of my posting name "Rainbowrider" which I chose from the song by Three Dog Night, Joy to the World from the late 1960s which refers to " I 'm a rainbowrider and a straight shootin' son of a gun" or something like that and which at the time did not refer to the gays of the world who have adopted the Rainbow as their symbol since. I just happen to like the song and many years ago and now, that idea of a cowboy riding a rainbow. However, due to the rude comments I have rec. from people on this site and rather than respond to each individually, I'll post this message so they can rest assured I am straight since they seem to be so interested in what I do in my bedroom and my sexual preference. It is too bad I have to post this to stop this kind of crude, rude behavior in order to get legitimate answers to the questions I have posted. Thanks to everyone else for your patience, I know I have taken up space that could have been put to better use.
China: Any Xi'An expats willing to share experiences there?:
Are there any expats living in Xi'An? My wife is Chinese and we will be moving there within a year. She has been out of the country for 8 yrs. has family in Xi'An but would like a Westerner's view of life there.
Thanks
China: Moving to Xi'An, China next year. Any helpful hints to make the move smooth.:
For instance, my wife is Chinese but she has been in U.S. for 8 years and has heard of higher prices on everything from her family and not really sure what I might miss when we move and wish I had brought more of to China.
Like electronics; cameras, laptops and toothpaste, socks, Levis, shoes. My brother-in- law says shoes are very expensive so should I buy 2-3 pairs to take with me rather than buy there?
ALSO, how much cash should I carry or is allowed into China for each person? What places do I stay out of in Xi'An? What should I be aware of in protecting myself ag. pickpockets? My wife's family is warning us about how prevalent of a problem this is in Xi'An. Any and all info. no matter what the subject from respondents is appreciated. I'm sure I have overlooked some important subjects.
thank you
China: personal banking in China:
Ni hao everyone!
My wife is Chinese and we are moving there, Xi'An, in about a year. I receive my retirement by direct deposit to my bank here in U.S. My question is what do I do to safely & easily access my funds from my bank account in U.S. while living in China?
Thank you for any suggestions
