Algeria: El Kalimat School:
My child attended for 3 years and I can honestly say that it was a very bad experience and if another school was available then I would have pulled her out. The school is run unprofessional but they enjoy taking your money depending on age we paid approx 1,000,000.oo da per year and a total waste it was. This is not the end of the yearly cost as you need to pay for everything from lunch, transport and even school books, text books are supplied but are photocopied and of a bad standard. If your child can speak French and Arabic then please do look at other schools. We had no choice as our child only speaks English . I wish you luck.
Algeria: SItuation in Algers:
HI I am British and have lived in Algeria for the last 5 years in the Capital. It depends where you will be located. From my experience I must say that I have never felt unsafe and I go about daily with my children. As to uprising again in the last 5 years I have only experienced a mini one which was because the price of some basic foods were increased, this was very short lived as they reverted them back within days. But like I said it really depends where your located. If you want any more info let me know.
Algeria: moving back to algeria:
Hi my name is Lynn and I am English. I movedto Algeria in July this year, I can truly say that I have had no problems and feel totally safe. The only English teaching school I have found (and have a daughter attending) is the El Khalimat school based in Bouzareah.

Algeria: Moving to ALgeria September 2010:
Hello All,
I have just returned from 3 weeks holiday in ALgeria - I must say how the country has changed in 4 years since my last visit.
My husband and I - with our 2 grils aged 12 and 5 will be moving to Mohammida (sorry cant spell it right) in September.
I need to find an English taught school - Private if possible. I have been told that A saudi school is available but can not find anything on the Web - can anyone help me?
Also I work for the British Givernment and would like to continue working - ut sadly I only speak English so will be restricted on what I can do. Any suggestions.
Also I have a dog here in London and would like to bring him with me - what do you think?
Any help/advise would be gratefully recieved and look forward to anyones reply.
Thanks
Algeria: useful information:
I am British and have my recidency paper here in Algeria - honestly it took me about 4 Months to finally get my papers. So I think it depends on the situation. I needed to have blood tests, x-rays and papers upon papers for my application. Why do you not do what I did and come over on a visa and then start the process - your visia can be extended buy the Police station in your local area?
If you would like to ask any more questions please do so to my email address Lynnmarie70@hotmail.co.uk
Good Luck
