I am contemplating a move to Panama, and am seeking American expats with an existing business, or that would like to create a new one in which I would like to participate. I am an experienced land development / construction management professional (Clemson University '93), with business skills, motivation and integrity applicable to any number of business ventures. I suppose I am in essence looking for someone already established in Panama to unofficially "sponsor" me as I get established there. I have limited equity to contribute, but rather propose to contribute intellectual capital and hands-on operational participation to create a business entity that fills a need that only an established expat might recognize. Recommendations, thoughts or inquiries are welcome.

How can I connect with US expats living in Caracao? I am a 50 yo US citiizen considering relocatring there, but wonder if this is feasible. Too young to tap retirement reserves, so connecting with an American expat that might consider hiring may be an option. I am a degreed construction / land development professional, want to get away from the ray race, and am exploring the caribbean lifestyle.....ready for a change, but recognize the need to connect with a "sponsor" with mutual benfits.
