Cyprus: Non eu move to Cyrpus:

We've lived overseas and I currently live in the US but would like to move overseas in the next two to three years since I travel overseas much of my time for the company I work for. We are waiting till our last child is in college so we can move more easily. I am interested in Cyprus but wonder about moving there with an income already in place from my company. I prefer to have a residency that allows us to stay in place rather than trying to function on a 3 month in and out tourist visa. Can anyone provide advice. I plan to visit next spring so recommendations for accommodations would be appreciated.
