i am a nurse, to be honest if they banned antidepressants no only would expats go crazy so would the saudis,, the information you have is not right, you can get them at any pharmacy and if they are not displayed they will pull them out from under the counter,,,,,,,,

there are lots of compounds, the thing is to get mates, males, to take you out with them, but they can be a bit bitchy as they dont like new people in their turf, also the irish go to their embassy for parties and mass so make sure you register at your embassy

banking is fine, i have used a few of them in saudi found saudi british a bit expensive, i have friends who like saudi france, al rajhi has cheap fees,,,,, but normally the drafts out take 3 days to show up in your account,,, if you do electronic banking from your saudi bank online its so much easier so make sure u sign up for internet banking with your saudi bank

just remember being a paramedic in saudi is so different to home, like the touching women issue etc, but if you are wanting an adventure u have it, you will enjoy it, just be flexible,,, the medic uniform is fine you will have all the pockets i know u guys love,

no you cant he must have employment and a single contract does not allow him to come to see u on anything other than a visit visa i am a director of nursing so have had to deal with all these issues continually
