Russia: Want to meet expats 24th-28th Dec???:

Hi, I am in St P next week from 24th to 28th Dec, and would really like to hook up with any ex-pats there that I could talk to about my planned move there in the summer. I will be teaching there. Are there any ex-pat xmas gatherings? or are there any generous souls there I could meet and buy a coffee for? I would be eternally grateful, for any contacts I can make. I know it's very late notice....

Russia: I want to move from UK to St Petersburg:

Hi, I recently visited St P and fell in love with the city, the people, and the culture. I have spent my life travelling around the UK, and now want to give another country a go. I love meeting new people,and learning about new cultures. I have studied Russian history and politics, and am currently learning the language. The big issue is what do I do for work??? It will be at least 1 year before I can speak the langauge to any useful degree, so any ideas? My experience is in banking and financial services, including management. would live to meet up with locals when I next visit, which will be spring next year
