Peru: American relocating to Peru?:
Hi all, I am wondering about the difficulty (the reality vs. what you read about on gov sites) of moving from America to Peru. I am married with one child at home (12 yr old daughter); I have a Master's degree in secondary education and a BA in English education. My husband however has no particular job skill yet (but he's a hard worker!) We have two cats and a dog. Basically we are starting to put together information/a general plan on how to do this within the next couple of years. We only need to live comfortably/safely and plan to immerse ourselves in local culture as much as possible (we both know the 'american equivalent' of conversational Spanish).
Thanks for any thoughts/advice!

Ecuador: Considering Moving to EC:
I found this site googling info on a move to Ecuador...these responses were very helpful. In my situation, I have a BA in English Education and a Master's in Secondary Education from my state University. I have a husband who does not have any specific marketable job skills (but he's a hard worker!) and a 12 year old daughter...two cats and a dog. We will be looking to relocate in the next couple years and I'm wondering, I know I can probably get a work visa no prob but can the husband come along without risk of being 'deported'? Can he get a work visa as long as he finds a job there? Thanks for any info, this is a daunting prospect but an important move for us...
