India: Any non-working moms wanna get together?:
I am a stay at home mom with a 2 1/2 yr old daughter. I am looking for other moms to hang out with during the day and let the kids play. If interested plz reply.
India: Looking for an apartment in Pune:
I live in Magarpatta City. It's about 10 mins or so from Kalyani Nagar. When I first came here I looked all over the city for a place that was up to my standards. It was difficult but eventually found something. Where I live now is very nice but it is a bit expensive. You can find nice places in Koreagon Park and Kalyani Nagar. I can give you a phone number to my father-in-law's friend. He is a realtor and will help you get what you are looking for.
Every place is different as far as water heaters and all. If you find a place with solar panals then you don't have to worry about that.
There is so much I can tell you but will be like writing a book. Looks like there is still time til you get here so I can always tell you lot more later.
What are you coming here for? Work? Do send me msgs and maybe we can get together when you get here.
India: Expats who recently came to India:
You can always talk to my husband. He quit is job in the US to settle here in Pune.
India: Baby Play Groups in Pune:
Where is Blossom Blvd?
You can come to my house if you like. I am a stay home mom with a 2 1/2 yr old daughter. We just recently moved here and I don't really know anyone yet.
India: Moving to India?:
We have relocated to Pune from the US. I think getting a visa is easy, for me anyway.
Are you coming here?
India: Confused -- US or India -- HELP!:
I agree with sanjay. The answers you get will be depending on who is answering. I am an American who lives in Pune. It is a tough transition from US to India. I can totally understand how she might be afraid. I agree that she should come here few times to visit, then decide if she wants to live here or not. It will be difficult for her because of the traffic, pollution, just the overall lifestyle. I know some British people that live here and the wife said that after 3 yrs she feels like this is her home. I have been coming and going for that past 8 yrs and I am hoping it doesn't take me 3 yrs to get that feeling. We have moved to Pune just a couple months ago and I get frustrated with everything. But hopefully after we buy a place and get it all decorated to our liking, things will become mellow and will start to enjoy it here.
