Sweden: advice on settling in:

hi guys, I'm a 29 guy from Australia who has moved to Sweden to live with my Swedish fiance who is 6months pregnant. we chose to move here as i have a English passport and can live and work here and she is very close to her family. we live about 6 hours north from stockholm and is a very big culture shock. i am a carpenter by trade and had a site foreman job for a construction company in Australia, but am finding it hard to find work.I'm currently learning the language which is a challenge but a necessity i believe but this will take along time to learn, if anyone has or is going threw the same i would love some advice on how you did it. thank you Jeff
