Malaysia: Expat in other parts of Malaysia?:
Dreadful? No way. Malaysia is as fun as it can be. Plenty of greenery and outdoor ventures if that is your cup of tea and yet cosmopolitan enough especially if you are in the cities. Kuala Lumpur in certain parts is as modern as any western citites.
There are plenty of expats in either Ipoh or Sabah. Sabah as you know is located in East Malaysia - a plane ride away. If you love the jungle or scuba dive then Sabah is the place. It is less developed than Ipoh (and West Malaysia) but can be great fun for outdoor activties. The people are friendly and English is widely spoken.
Cheers
Malaysia: work visa:
I checked with some friends in Agricultural industry. They said that it is possible to that the Ministry (or Dept of ) Agriculture will require the skills that you have especially if you have been dealing with livestock as the country is pushing to raise it's agricultural production.
good luck.
Malaysia: Any good Greek restaurants in KL/PJ?:
Jen
Better late than never!
There is a pretty decent Mexican restaurant in the Taipan area. Can't remember the name but the food is quite good.
Alas for Greek. The closest you can get is a good Lebanese restaurant along Jln. Bukit Bintang, directly opposite KL Plaza / Bintang Walk. Very authentic. You will not be disappointed.
Enjoy!
