I wish I could tell you some good things about Riyadh and single females. Yes you will be considered single female if you are not married to this fellow. You have to be very careful on the streets. I don't think they recognize a "Girl friend" status. You could, like you said ,get a job and see him very carefully. Depends on the compound. They can not enter into gated private compounds for American or foreign companies. Good luck Naila

Malibustacy Thanks for taking the time to be candid about it. I think that is sad. I am going to have to think carefully. If I did, it will be for short period. Basically a single female can not do anything. You can't drive, you can't go to malls alone, you can't be seen with a non-relative male. I hope they stay away from the compounds. Wonder what would it be like inside the compound if one has to be confined there all the time. One year tops. If i decided to take it! Naila
