Kuwait: Military Base School:

The military bases in Kuwait due not have any non-DOD personnel allowed on base, ever without special permission. If you are going to Kuwait on a DOD contract your children will live off base, probably not in company housing and will have to go to private school,, unless you are home schooling them or they are going to school through a US on-line school. Public school in Kuwait is for Kuwaitis only. Enrolling in the British, Canadian or American schools can be expensive. In addition, enrollment began in spring, so it can be difficult to get your child enrolled now. This is something you want to start right away. Let me know if you have any questions.

Kuwait: Internet and Skype in Kuwait:

Download Skype to your laptop or tower before you get to Kuwait or you won't be able to get do it here. My hard drive crashed, goodbye skype. When I go to Dubai next month I will download it again. As far as international calls with Skype, I put money on the Skype account and I did not need a landline, just a microphone and if I wanted video connection I used the laptop for the connection. Has anyone used the NationPhone TV service? It is supposed to let you watch live TV from the states over your computer or TV. Or, you can get the DVR option and watch it Kuwaiti time. Is the cost worth the service compared to something like OSN? Thanks

Have you looked into any resources at the Manarat School? They might be able to refer you to a therapist. The Website is Manaratschool.com. It uses a TX based curriculum for special needs children 3 to 18.
