Australia: Want to teach English Downunder:

I am new to this site and am looking to move to Australia within the nest two years, if not sooner. I'm 39 and wondered if this is too late for making a move. My background is architectural and interior design though I have made a move to education (specifically assisting non native speakers in tutoring them English as a Second Language) what's the field like down there if anyone has an idea. I have been preparing(i.g.) setting up a bank account overseas, visas, medical...etc; how is the state of the economy in Australia and would it be had to find a job upon settling within say the first six months. I don't really have any jobs lined up; the only thing I have going for me is relatives in Sydney and a friend in Ballarat. Granted, I may be a little ahead of most people but nothing is guaranteed. What can anyone recommend. I will be moving from the states. regards, an exile
