Ecuador: Geriatric Care in Cuenca:
Our escape to Cuenca will now include my 89 year old father in law.
His health is good with the exception of his dimming eyesight due to macular degeneration. He likes to be independent but only as long as we are close by. Are there any senior living facilities in cuenca where he would be amongst English speakers. I know that's a tall order but i'm sure we're not the only ones who have an aging parent and can't leave them behind in the States. Discussion or suggestions appreciated.
Ecuador: Cuenca Hotels or B&Bs:
PUREWHITE,
We just got back from a fact finding mission to Cuenca and can highly recommend the Kookaburra Cafe and B&B.
The Cafe has become expat central so having breakfast there will allow you to meet any number of people who will gladly answer all your questions about Cuenca. The Kookaburra charges $45/night for a great room and breakfast. Good luck.
Ecuador: Van from Guayaquil to Cuenca:
We want to take a van service from Guayaquil airport to Cuenca. Has anyone used Elmoctours or Supertaxi for this service and how do you meet up with the van @ the airport? Thanks
