Ecuador: Need Notary in Libertad-Salinas ASAP:
There is currently one Notary in Salinas - right next to City Hall - by the parking lot - which is across the street from the church on the path from the San Lorenzo beach to the Chipipe beach. Ecuador: Salinas - Public Works Update:
Latest on the San Lorenzo Program: The result of a recent condition survey with the original team that performed the "definitive" study, the chiefs of public works, planning, tourism, community affairs and I starting from the residential homes near the Barcelo Hotel all the way to the Palmeras. Cutting to the chase 1. The Mayor ordered a cleanup of debris and excess stones along the entire coastline. 2. The Mayor authorized test wells in three locations to address a potential solution to a risk issue associated with storm drainage. 3. Residences will be required to address elevation differences. 4. Actions to correct illegal or accidental sanitary connections to the storm drains will be taken. Finally, we successfully negotiated resolution to an impasse between the original engineering team and the Navy to continue the permitting process. Ed 'n' Jenny

Don't know if it will still work but what I did was to have that document officially translated and had the translation apostilled. The apostilled translation was accepted.
Ecuador: SYC Dock in Salinas:
Looks like the SYC once again is pushing the concept of a dry dock in front of the Capitania.... the initial Permit requests were denied by the Mayor. Now they are going to the Navy to build a case that this location is the preferred. No one has yet seen the studies on the alternate sites but, nevertheless, SYC is pressuring the Navy to go over the head of the municipality.
