Saudi Arabia: American Woman Moving To Dammam???:

Hello ladies, Damman and Khober are better choices for expats than Riyadh. The eastern province (including Damman and Khobar) is more liberal and people there are more open minded. Life is more organized in general and there are some nice beaches, not to mention that Bahrain is about 45 minutes away! There will be some challenges of course but I am sure you'll enjoy it and have some fun! Should you need any help, just send me an Email and I'll be happy to answer your questions. Cheers, Omar oalamiri@yahoo.com

I actually go to a weekly social gathering where there is nice people including a South African lady who you might want to mingle with. I am based in Riyadh. You can drop me an Email once you arrive and perhaps we can arrange something. Cheers, Omar oalamiri@yahoo.com

Saudi Arabia: self employed:

You shouldn't be having any problems if you already have a visa to come to Riyadh by your employer or if you are coming with your husband. The only advise I would give is to offer the service strictly to females in order to avoid any possible trouble. Have a pleasant stay! Omar
