I live outside of Graz. We have a 7 year old daughter. I am looking for work and some English speaking friends. I have lived here once before, was gone for 3 years and now back. I speak enough German to get by and understand about 60% of what is being said.

Advice for New Expats

I would prepare for learning this language. Bring all your documents, of work history etc. I could answer questions and give advice if asked. Be prepared to be treated as a foreigner. Depending on where you come from, you will be treated accordingly, but for sure you will notice that Austria is not very fond of "auslanders".

Austria: Schools in Graz:

Hello! I have a 7 year old daughter and we are from Portland Oregon. She goes to school in a small town near Graz. There is an international school here but they do not start until 10 years old. It is called Gibs. You can check it out on the web. I know a little about Graz and the people here etc..
