Switzerland: is life in Zurich recommendable?:

I've been offered a job in Zurich but am still mulling it over. I'd love any insights you ex-pats have on living there. For example, I can speak German and a little French but will the Swiss always insist on speaking in english to me? (I've lived in Germany before and this was often the case). I've read that it has 300,000 inhabitants - even Dublin has more than that! So that it is concern... What is Zurich like as a city? Thanking you in advance....
